Lukas Podolski's first-half brace gave Germany a 2-0 World Cup second-round win over 10-man Sweden on Saturday.
The striker netted twice in the first 12 minutes as the hosts cruised into the last eight in Munich.
He opened the scoring four minutes in, firing into an empty net after striker partner Miroslav Klose had been foiled by Sweden keeper Andreas Isaksson.
And eight minutes later he slotted home the second after excellent work by Klose.
Isaksson then made three excellent saves to deny first Michael Ballack from close range and then Torsten Frings and Bastian Schweinsteiger from distance.
Sweden's task then got even harder when Teddy Lucic was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Jens Lehmann in the Germany goal didn't have to make his first save of note until five minutes before the interval when he had to push Zlatan Ibrahimovic's shot around the post.
The Swedes had a great chance to bring themselves back into the game eight minutes into the second half when Larsson won a penalty after being brought down by Christoph Metzelder.
But Larsson blazed the spot-kick high over the bar to spurn Sweden's last chance of a revival.
Ballack then saw his superb 25-yard effort turned onto the post by Isaksson as Germany ended the game as they'd started it - well on top.
They'll now meet Argentina or Mexico in the quarter-finals in Berlin next Friday afternoon.
