Argentina striker Carlos Tevez insists the prospect of facing World Cup hosts Germany in Berlin is not one that holds any fear for him.

The Corinthians star is well aware Friday's clash will be a tough one against Jurgen Klinsmann's outfit, but he is confident the Argentinians have what it takes to make it through to the semi-finals.

"We'll have to play with guts," Tevez said.

"I don't fear them, but they will want to roll us over. They are hosts and they will have to show what they have got.

"They will pressure us and try not to let us play because they know if they do let us play we can make it difficult for them."

Tevez, along with exciting young talent Lionel Messi, has played much of his football from the bench so far in the tournament, but remains confident he can make an impact on the competition.

"In the last Copa America (in 2004), I didn't start the competition playing, but in the last two or three games I played and played very well.

"I don't give up. If I play, I'll do it in the best way because I don't know if I'll play another World Cup.

"I enjoy each day, each moment and that makes this my best World Cup, because I don't know if I'll play another one," he said.

Messi agreed with his team-mate, insisting the whole of the Argentinian squad are behind the starting XI, whoever they are.

"We're here to do the best whether we can play and support the others or whether we have to be on the bench," Messi said.

The 19-year-old Barcelona star praised their next opponents, saying: "They are complicated to beat both in defence and attack.

"We should play as we know, with the ball on the grass, not with aerial play, because they have tall defenders."

Messi also hailed Germany striker Lukas Podolski, who has struck three goals so far in the tournament.

"I haven't watched him so much before the tournament," Messi said. "But in this World Cup he has demonstrated why he is in the national team and why he is a great player."
