Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has condemned the violence that broke out during Portugal's 1-0 victory against Holland.
Referee Valentin Ivanov brandished 16 yellow cards, equalling the tournament record, as well as sending off four players - Deco and Costinha for Portugal and Dutch duo Khalid Boulahrouz and Giovanni van Bronckhorst - all for two bookable offences.
It means Portugal will be without Deco and Costinha for the quarter-final with England in Gelsenkirchen on Saturday, while Cristiano Ronaldo is also a doubt after suffering a thigh injury after a heavy challenge which earned Boulahrouz the first of his yellow cards.
Luis Figo can also count himself lucky not to have been sidelined for the clash after he headbutted Mark van Bommel but the Real Madrid man escaped with a booking.
Now Parreira has pointed an accusing finger at those involved.
He said: "It was a very bad game. We saw four red cards and 12 yellow cards.
"There was too much violence. It was not football.
"The players were too fond of playing in a dirty way.
"I was very disappointed they decided to play in that way."
