Jurgen Klinsmann hopes his strikers will "stay hungry" knowing there are "much more difficult tasks" coming up.
Miroslav Klose grabbed a brace in the 3-0 defeat of Ecuador, with Lukas Podolski also breaking out of a four-game scoring slump.
Klose has already bagged a double in the opening 4-2 win over Costa Rica, and Klinsmann hopes his attackers can preserve their brilliant shape.
He said: "Our strikers are in great form. They work a lot but we know it will be tougher for them so score goals in the knock-out stages. We hope they stay hungry."
Klinsmann also vowed his players would take "one game at a time".
He said: "It has always been or goal to win the group and we're looking ahead now to the knock-out stages now that we have accomplished this goal. We will take it on a game-by-game basis. We hope we have a long road ahead."
Klinsmann added: "It was important for us to assure a top-place finish because we wanted to keep playing in the same venues where we had our group matches.
"We like those stadium, so we have Munich and then hopefully Berlin and Dortmund coming up."
Ecuador head coach Luis Suarez said: "Germany played a great match.
"I am disappointed because we did not play a good match. It was not what we have expected and we did not play as well as in the first two matches.
"It was a very difficult task for us to solve our problems in the first half. They were more practically-minded today.
"Everybody played badly so we will have to make a huge progress in order not to repeat them.
"We need to improve if we want to go any further in this World Cup. We can learn a lot from this match and hopefully won't make the same mistakes again."
Klinsmann added: "The real World Cup starts now. We did not play as good as we did against Poland so we need to improve, because in the second round the opponents will be of a different calibre.
"We have won a lot of self-confidence but things are only just getting started. Our team knows that if we play to our capabilities we do not have to year anyone."
Suarez admitted Klose's first strike after just four minutes hurt Ecuador's game.
"In the first half they scored very quickly and we had to regroup," he stated.
"They were stronger and faster than we were. That's why Germany dominated, not only in the scoreboard.
"In the past two matches, we scored first. Here it was the other way round and it made life complicated. It affected the team mentally."
