Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc believes Pawel Janas should remain as Poland coach despite a disappointing World Cup.
They face Costa Rica today in their final Group A game after successive defeats by Ecuador and Germany.
Janas is refusing to resign and his future will be decided on July 14 when he meets Polish football association president Michal Listkiewicz.
Boruc backed his boss when he said: "The coach is working hard and he should stay on.
"It is not good we are speaking about his future when we have a match to play."
Experienced midfielder Jacek Krzynowek rounded on the media, adding: "You are not helping us with all your reports and your questions.
"We have to prepare for the last game, so let us do our job."
Janas added: "You cannot say the World Cup is over as we still have one match to play.
"Then we will analyse the situation afterwards.
"We will draw our conclusions, but will do so internally."
Costa Rica are also going home but defender Gabriel Badilla thanked Paulo Wanchope for helping him in the campaign.
Wanchope is looking to play in Europe again after wearing the colours of, among others, Derby, West Ham and Manchester City.
Badilla said: "I have learned a lot from Paulo.
"You always have to take positives from playing in the World Cup.
"There is great professionalism in the squad, no matter what some people are saying.
"We will try to win our last game so that we can clean up our image."
