The Czech Republic will struggle to field a strong side for their clash with Italy on Thursday.

Karel Bruckner's options look limited, especially in attack as his side prepare for what could well be their final game at this summer's final.

Milan Baros and Jan Koller are struggling with injuries while Vratislav Lokvenc has been ruled out of the crucial clash through suspension.

Fiorentina defender Tomas Ujfalusi will also be on the sidelines after his straight red card against Ghana.

Bruckner said: "We have yet to decide on the replacements but we need to bring young players in to strengthen the team.

"We worked hard against Ghana and I could not fault my players for a lack of effort.

"We lost a goal early and that damaged us. It left us facing an uphill battle.

"But I have to congratulate Ghana as their attacking play was extraordinary."

If the Czech's lose to Italy on Thursday they will be eliminated at the group stage but a draw will not be enough either if Ghana can defeat the USA.
