South Korea coach Dick Advocaat claims his side will find facing France on Sunday an easier prospect than their opening match against Group G minnows Togo.
The Dutchman, whose team beat the west Africans 2-1, believes the pressure has now been taken of the Koreans.
Speaking in Leipzig on the eve of the match against France, he said: "I think this game will be easier for us than the first game because everyone expects France to win convincingly.
"How there is no way we are underestimating France. They have so many good individuals in the team - and out of the team as well - so if they are on form they will be too strong for us.
"But in football anything is possible and we will make things difficult for them, that's for sure.
"If we can put them under pressure in the way Switzerland did then perhaps we can spring a bit of a surprise."
Advocaat confirmed he will make "one or two changes" and may restore experienced striker Ahn Jung-Hwan to the starting line-up after he came off the bench to score an excellent winner in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Togo. The 30-year-old was one of the key players in South Korea's run to the semi-finals in 2002.
Advocaat has also told World Cup organisers he does not want the pitch watered heavily before the match.
Several French players have complained that the pitch in their opening game, the disappointing 0-0 draw with Switzerland, was too dry.
The South Korea coach said: "It will be better for France if they water the grass or if it has rained. We will need to slow down the game because they have so much skill and pace, so it would better for us if the pitch is dry."
