Ghana coach Ratomir Dujkovic was thrilled at their splendid victory against the Czech Republic as they are in sight of the last 16 and he can keep his job.
Goals from Asamoah Gyan - he also missed a penalty - and Sulley Muntari saw them destroy the world's second ranked team.
No wonder Dujkovic was smiling as some critics were calling for his head after the defeat by Italy.
The Serbian said: "You know as a coach you always have your luggage packed so you are ready to go.
"This is part of the job and in African countries they are very emotional.
"If the king dies, there is a new king. But now I am a hero in Ghana."
Asked if he was surprised at the victory, he responded: "Only that it was just 2-0.
"We will always give our best but I thought we showed great motivation today.
"The goal difference could be very important and it was nice to get two of such high quality."
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech saved his side from a rout with a string of great blocks.
It was hard to believe this was a side that had overcome the USA so easily in their first game.
Despite strikers Milan Baros and Jan Koller being ruled out through injury, they were still expected to be too strong for Ghana and their misery was complete when Tomas Ujfalusi was sent off.
Coach Karel Bruckner said: "We worked hard and I could not fault my players for a lack of effort.
"We lost a goal early and that damaged us. It left us facing an uphill battle.
"But I have to congratulate Ghana as their attacking play was extraordinary."
