Mateja Kezman has hit out at his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho for not giving Dutch winger Arjen Robben the respect he deserves.
Kezman, who faced Robben earlier this week when Serbia & Montenegro played Holland, feels that a player with the ability of Robben is too good to be sat out on the Chelsea bench.
Kezman said: "It is bizarre that Mourinho doesn't use a player of Robben's ability so much. He spent many times on the bench. Mourinho doesn't get the best out of him."
Robben, who was one of Chelsea's best players in the season that saw then win their first league title since 1955, featured little for Chelsea last season.
It has been rumored that Robben has had some problems with Chelsea manager Mourinho, which may have lead to Robben not getting as much playing time as Kezman feels the former PSV winger deserves.
Kezman said: "It is the player who is the star and the player who has to be number one. When Robben plays like that, he is the best in the world in that position. Last season he had problems with the coach and deserves more respect."
With all this in mind, Kezman believes Robben's lack of matches at Chelsea will not effect the Dutchman's performance in the World Cup, saying: "I said before the finals that Robben could be a big surprise. He can dominate the World Cup."
