Much of Togo's creativity will come from Moustapha Salifou, who plies his trade for Stade Brestois in France's Ligue 2.

Salifou, a lively attacking midfielder, grew into an integral part of Togo's qualifying campaign for the 2006 World Cup, making nine appearances in the preliminaries, scoring two goals.

His most vital strike came against Mali in Bamako, when he scored a 78th-minute equaliser which helped his country to a 2-1 win.
