Scott Chipperfield is one of the more experienced Socceroos, with almost 50 caps to his name.

A predominantly left-sided midfielder, he is always a danger from free-kicks around the box.

English fans will probably remember him best as part of the Basle team that suffered a dramatic last-minute exit at the hands of Middlesbrough in the UEFA Cup in April.

Chipperfield scored twice in qualification for Germany 2006, although neither goal was particularly crucial, coming as they did in 7-0 and 9-0 victories over the Solomon Islands and Tahiti.
