Aruna Dindane formed one half of Africa's most potent strike partnership in World Cup qualifying, with his link-up with Didier Drogba producing 15 goals.
Dindane plays off Drogba in a supporting role up front, and is famed for his dribbling and his creative skills rather than goalscoring although seven in 10 qualifying matches proves that he can also chip in with the goals as well.
A product of the ASEC Abidjan academy, Dindane moved to Anderlecht in 2000. Whilst in Belgium he won two league titles in 2001 and 2004, and his outstanding performances won him individual honours as well.
He was awarded the Ebony Shoe for best African player in Belgium, and the Golden Shoe for the best player in the Belgian league in 2003.
Dindane missed the African Nations Cup after a bereavement, and will hope to show the world how effective his partnership with Drogba can be.
