Angola's most-used player in qualifying, playing in 11 of their 12 games, Andre is the lynchpin in his nation's midfield.

Not afraid to stick his foot in but also a good passer of the ball with a powerful shot when he strays into the attacking third, Macanga has already played his club football in his homeland, Portugal and Turkey and now plies his trade in Kuwait.

As with all the Angola players he will hope to make an impression in Germany this summer with a view to furthering his career back in Europe.
