Mark Jankulovski was recently described by Pavel Nedved as "the best Czech player at the moment", but has struggled to break the AC Milan first team this season due to injury.

The versatile left-sided player can play as a full-back or winger but normally fills the former role at international level.

He started his professional career at Banik Ostrava and has since played for Italian clubs Napoli, Udinese and now Milan.

Jankulovski enjoyed his most success at Udinese, helping them to secure a Champions League spot in Serie A last season.

Impressive in the Czechs' Euro 2004 campaign, Jankulovski will be an important member of the squad this summer and causes problems for opponents with his great resilience and stamina.
