Mattias Jonson can play on the right of midfield or as a second striker and began his career at Helsingborg.
But it was at Danish side Brondby where he really came to prominence and his performances earned him a call-up to Euro 2004.
He played three times in Portugal and scored the equaliser in the controversial 2-2 draw with Denmark that put both teams through at the expense of Italy.
The same summer Norwich paid around £600,000 for Jonson in the hope that he would be able to keep them in the Premiership but he was a big disappointment at Carrow Road and he failed to register a single goal.
Djurgardens paid £700,000 to take him back to Sweden in July 2005 and he quickly recaptured his goalscoring touch.
He will probably feature off the bench at the World Cup and will be keen to shine against England to make up for his poor Premiership showing.
