Anders Svensson is a creative attacking midfielder who recently returned to Sweden to play for former club Elfsborg after four years at Southampton.
He earned a reputation for late runs into the penalty area and being a free-kick specialist at Elfsborg in the late 1990s, but never really transfered his form to the Premiership after a £700,000 move.
He was bought to replace Hassan Kachloul as the creative force at Southampton, but he rarely showed the kind of form he displays for Sweden.
At the 2002 World Cup he scored a stunning free kick in a 1-1 draw with Argentina, but he will have to fend off the challenge of younger players like Kim Kallstrom and Christian Wilhelmsson this time out.
