Sylvain Wiltord has remained an important part of the France side while helping Lyon become a major player on the European scene.
A pacy, technically gifted forward who can also play attacking midfield, Wiltord scored the last-minute equaliser in the Euro 2002 final against Italy.
He started his career at Rennes before moving to Bordeaux in 1997 and when they won Ligue 1 in 1999, Wiltord topped the scoring charts and was voted France's Player of the Year.
His inevitable big move came a year later when he joined Arsene Wenger's French legion at Arsenal, where he won two FA Cups and two league titles.
But he struggled to break the partnership between Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp and moved back to France with Lyon in 2004.
