A scorer of great goals rather than a great scorer of goals, the winger was born in Angola but moved Portugal with his parents after the country of his birth gained independence.

Responsible for the vast majority of Angola's set-pieces as well as dictating the pace of attacks, Figueiredo's form is generally a good barometer of his team's fortunes.
