Tim Borowski is a central midfielder whose stature has grown hugely in recent times to such an extent that he is now a key part of the Germany squad.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently identified him as a potential replacement for Michael Ballack at Bayern Munich with Borowski a playmaker who dictates the pace of games and frequently wins his midfield battles. He also has a thunderous shot and often scores from long range.

Borowski performed well in this season's Champions League and earned himself a new contract so if Bayern are serious about securing his services then they may have to stump up a hefty transfer fee.
