Part of the 'famous four' that conceded just one goal in qualifying for the World Cup, Draguntinovic is an experienced presence in the Serbo-Montenegrin defence.
Capable of playing at left-back and centre-back, Draguntinovic is a determined defender who does not flinch from a battle.
Blessed with pace and capable of playing a cultured ball, the 30-year-old joined Sevilla from Standard Liege just seconds before the summer transfer window closed in 2005.
Bought to replace the Real Madrid-bound Sergio Ramos, Draguntinovic had a promising first season in La Liga which was hindered at points by a thigh injury.
Before heading to Spain, Draguntinovic spent 10 years in Belgium where he played for Gent and latterly Liege, who he eventually captained.
A regular at the heart of the national side, Draguntinovic will, barring injury, link up with Mladen Krstajic, Goran Gavrancic and Nemanja Vidic to reform Serbia and Montenegro's heralded defence.
