Mauro Camoranesi - Italy - change if juve win title.
Position: Midfielder
Born: 04.10.76
Club: Juventus
Mauro Camoranesi was born in Argentina, began his club career in Mexico and opted to play for Italy when offered a cap by Gionvanni Trapattoni in 2003.
The winger has been brutally honest about playing for the Azzurri, insisting it is merely a pragmatic decision.
Repeatedly questioned over his loyalties, Camoranesi once said: "I still feel 100 per cent Argentine and have done nothing to find myself in this situation. It's only a football matter, nothing else."
But few questions have been asked about the player's skill out wide, with his ability to mesmorize defences winning over any doubting fans.
Arguably there has not been a player to benefit more from the appointment of Marcello Lippi, with the new coach's more attacking formations, admittedly coming in a soft qualifying group, making room for Camoranesi.
With Italy facing Czech Republic, Ghana and the USA in the group stages whether Lippi will keep fielding such forward-thinking teams remains to be seen.
Despite this, Camoranesi's attacking instincts and invention on the right will make him a valuable member of the squad.
If Lippi selects his side on form alone then Camoranesi's glorious last two seasons with Juventus give him an excellent chance.
Indeed since he joined the Turin side from Verona, in 2002, he has exceeded all expectations, twice winning the Scudetto and the Italian Super Cup.
