A player probably better known for his Champions League exploits with Lyon, Juninho is nevertheless beginning to establish himself as a key member of the Brazil squad.

He will almost certainly start the tournament as back-up to the playmakers Ronaldinho and Kaka but a player of his ability is sure to make some mark on the tournament.

He has now featured in over a dozen games for the national side, scoring his first international goal against Bolivia in World Cup qualification.

A composed and elegant midfielder, Juninho is also deadly from any free kicks around the penalty area.

Although unlikely to start the tournament in Carlos Alberto Parreira's first team, don't bet against him forcing his way into contention before the tournament is over.
