Mexico striker Jared Borgetti has been passed fit to play against Argentina on Saturday following a muscle problem.

The Bolton Wanderers man sustained an injury during Mexico's World Cup Group D opener against Iran and missed the subsequent matches with Angola and Portugal.

However, Borgetti was able to train fully with his team-mates on Friday morning, giving coach Ricardo La Volpe a timely boost as the Mexicans prepare for the knockout stages of the competition.
