Saudi Arabia striker Sami Al Jaber believes basic mistakes have proved costly to the Desert Kingdom's hopes of reaching the last 16 of the World Cup.
The veteran campaigner helped his side draw 2-2 with Tunisia in their opener in Group H but a 4-0 walloping from Ukraine means that they are bottom of the table.
"We lost simply because we made too many basic mistakes," said Al Jaber, whose goal in Tunisia game made him the 15th man - and first from Asia - to score at three separate World Cups.
