Coach Luis Fernando Suarez insists his Ecuador side will be going all out to win Group A by beating World Cup hosts Germany in Berlin on Tuesday.
The South Americans have cruised into the knockout stages with convincing victories over Poland and Costa Rica.
And although Suarez is wary of the threat posed by the Germans, he warns Ecuador are ready to improve on their two impressive World Cup displays to date.
"We will look for the victory against Germany as we want to maintain first place in the group," said Suarez.
"They are dangerous in the air and they also have Michael Ballack, one of the best players on the planet, so we need to be careful.
"But the Ecuador national team has no limit on what we can achieve, as we are ready to continue improving."
Suarez also referred to a comment made by Sepp Blatter before the showpiece in Germany began, in which the FIFA president insisted that all participants were equal.
He added: "I share that opinion. Since the first day, the 32 teams have had the same chances to qualify."
