The chief executive of the Polish Football Association, Michal Listkiewicz, has admitted another defeat in the team's final World Cup clash against Costa Rica could cost coach Pawel Janas his job.
PFA chiefs will meet on July 14 to discuss Janas' position after the under-fire coach failed to guide Poland through the group stages following defeats against Ecuador and Germany.
Despite insisting the final decision on Janas' future will be based on his overall performance during his three-and-a-half year tenure, Listkiewicz admitted defeat against the Costa Ricans in Hannover on Tuesday could seal the coach's fate.
When asked whether the result will have a bearing on Janas' position, Listkiewicz replied: "In a certain sense, yes.
"A three-match result of no goals and no points would definitely be a very poor result, let's not kid ourselves."
