Togo midfielder Ludovic Assemoassa's World Cup is over - but not his career.

The 25-year-old ruptured knee ligaments during training with the west African team in Wangen and team doctors say he will not play again in 2006.

Doctor Joachim Schubert said: "He can't play again for six months but he should be able to play football again after that period."

Assemoassa - out of the tournament.
