Midfielder Ramon Morales believes Mexico must use their passing game to combat the threat of Angola's lightening pace when the two Group D rivals meet in Hanover on Friday.
The Guadalajara man is wary of the athleticism the African side possess - but insists Mexico must concentrate on their own strengths as they look for a second World Cup victory that would leave them on the verge of qualifying for the knock-out stages.
Morales said: "They (Angola) are fast, so to face that speed we have to touch the ball with dynamism, impose our own style on the pitch, defend and attack well.
"We cannot play races with Angola, but we cannot allow Mexico to be beaten in any way. If they run, we must run too."
