Teruyuki started his career at Shonan Bellmare but his impressive form led to a move to capital club FC Tokyo where he has excelled.

A late addition to the Confederations Cup squad last year and a member of the 2004 Olympic squad, the strong defender has no shortage of tournament experience.

Teruyuki won his first cap againt Tunisia in 2003 and has eight caps in total, scoring one goal.
