Once an attacking midfielder, Randall Azofeifa has been converted into a defensive role where he initiates rather than finishes offensive moves.

Azofeifa has enjoyed much success in his short career with club side Saprissa, winning a national championship, a UNCAF Cup title and a CONCACAF Champions Cup title. He also competed in the 2005 FIFA Club World Championship, where he helped his side to finish in third place.

Although inexperienced at senior international level, the midfielder played in the FIFA Under-17 World Championship held in 2001 and is a player with an excellent future in the game.
