A key figure in Poland's European Under-18 Championship victory in 2001, Pawel Brozek looks destined to be one of the brightest stars in Polish football.
Surprisingly included in this squad in place of Tomasz Frankowski, who scored seven times in as many games in the qualifying campaign, the 23-year-old has been selected with one eye on the future as he is sure to be at his peak when the World Cup next comes around.
Having made his international debut in April of last year, Brozek had appeared in just three friendlies at the time national coach Pawel Janas named his Finals squad, although he was due to face England in a World Cup qualifier before sustaining a stomach injury.
A pacy hitman with a seemingly unerring eye for goal, the Wisla Krakow man is highly rated in his homeland and now has the chance to raise his profile around the world.
