Position: Forward

Club: Nagoya Grampus Eight

Tricky and exciting, Keiji Tamada is arguably the most 'Brazilian' of Zico's Japanese favourites - but goals have been in short supply for the striker in recent months.

Tamada was relatively prolific for previous club Kashiwa Reysol but following their relegation last season, he moved to Nagoya Grampus Eight and has managed to find the net just once in the current J-League season.

And having found the net just once in nine outings in qualifying, the 26-year-old seems unlikely to trouble opposition goalkeepers too often in World Cup 2006.

However, Tamada remains a handful for defenders and, given the chance to play, his mazy runs could well open the door for his strike partner to score.
