The ultra-versatile Philipp Lahm has developed into a world-class player at an early stage of his relatively short career.
With the ability to play in all positions across the back four, up front and on the left wing, Lahm is every manager's dream and this summer could see him shoot to stardom.
After starting his career with Bayern Munich, he was loaned out to Stuttgart in 2002 where he spent two impressive seasons and subsequently earned his first full international call-up in February 2004.
Since then he played in all of Germany's Euro 2004 games and has matured into one of his country's most important players.
Now back with the Bundesliga champions, Lahm loves getting forward down the left before cutting inside on his favourite right foot to swing in a dangerous cross or unleash a swirling shot.
The 22-year-old is hoping to continue his progression in his homeland but if he manages to get his hands on the World Cup he could attract more interest from long-term admirers Chelsea.
