Oleg Shelayev is another who has impressed during qualifying and is expected to be in Ukraine's starting line-up.

Like so many of his international team-mates, Dnipro's European exit means he just had domestic football to concentrate on and he should be in peak condition for the finals.

Having been picked for the matches against Turkey and Albania late in 2005, the hard-working midfielder is clearly in coach Oleh Blokhin's plans, and he played in nine of the 12 games in qualification for the Finals.
