A midfielder also adept at playing the holding role in front of the defence, Andranik Teymourian has long appeared destined to play for Iran's senior team after starring for his country at several age levels.

He helped the Under-23 side finish third at the Islamic Solidarity games and was eventually handed his full international debut against Libya last year.

The 23-year-old has found his opportunities limited at the highest level since though - he has won just a handful of caps to date - but is coming off the back of a good season with club side Abou Moslem.
