There were few surprises in Karel Bruckner's Czech Republic squad - but one name which raised eyebrows was David Jarolim.

The Hamburg midfielder has played only 14 minutes of competitive international football and that came in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Holland in the qualifying stage.

Although Jarolim helped his Bundesliga side qualify for the Champions League for the first time in six years, some believe it was a travesty that the 27-year-old was given the nod over midfield rival Jiri Jarosik, who had a noteworthy season with Birmingham despite their relegation.

Blessed with pace, Jarolim's does threaten down the right of midfield and he could be impressive for his country this summer, should he be get the chance.
