Segundo Castillo is slowly emerging through Ecuador's ranks but will probably be given nothing more than a super-sub role this summer.

The 24-year-old only featured in two World Cup qualifying games but has been more involved of late, including the recent friendly defeat to Holland.

With a bright future ahead, Castillo still has a few rough edges to smooth and must improve his consistency if he wants to make a significant mark on the international stage.

Castillo has height on his side but his light build is a major weakness as it's sometimes a little easy to knock him off the ball.

The El Nacional man has been linked with a move to Italy and some good showings in Germany may speed up such a move.
