This will be the second time Andre Ooijer has travelled to a World Cup but he will hope to make more of an impact than he did at France 98, when he failed to make an appearance in Holland's run to the semi-finals.
Ooijer made his international debut seven years ago against Brazil, but missed out on the squad for Euro 2000.
He then drifted out of the reckoning under Louis van Gaal and was omitted from the Euro 2004 squad by Dick Advocaat, but current manager Marco van Basten has brought him in from the cold.
PSV signed Ooijer midway through the 1997/98 season from Roda JC and he has gone on to enjoy domestic success as well as regular Champions League football, even scoring a goal against Arsenal in a first round match of the 2004/2005 season to ensure PSV reached the second knockout stage.
The right-back, who can also play in the centre of defence or as a defensive midfielder, almost joined Genoa 1893 in 2005, but the deal fell through after the Italian club were relegated to Seria C1 for match-fixing.
Ooijer is an experienced professional who may well feature from the bench for the Dutch side in Germany, with his versatility an advantage.
