Capped just once for Holland before Marco van Basten named his squad, Kew Jaliens did enough to earn his ticket.

Having made his senior club debut nine years ago, for hometown club Sparta Rotterdam, he moved to Willem II in the 1999/2000 season.

The defender spent five seasons with Willem II where he made almost 150 appearances for the Dutch club before AZ Alkmaar signed the 27-year-old.

Jaliens was part of the AZ Alkmaar team which were knocked out of the semi-finals in last season's UEFA Cup, despite the defender scoring in the tie against Sporting Lisbon, but he looks set for a bench role this summer.
