A versatile defender, Fabricio Coloccini is strong in the air but has a tendency to be slightly overzealous in the tackle.

Now at Deportivo, the 24-year-old spent many of his early years in Europe being loaned out by AC Milan - he had spells at Alaves, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal - but has now found a permanent and happy home at the Riazor.

A part of the Argentinian side beaten in the 2004 Copa America final, Coloccini won Olympic gold in Athens later that year before featuring seven times in qualifying for this tournament, scoring once along the way.

Happier centrally but also able to play at right-back, Coloccini gives coach Jose Pekerman a welcome option this summer.
