Hans Sarpei is by no means a regular in the national team but with a long career in German football behind him, he's sure to feel at home this summer.

The versatile midfielder, who has been selected for his defensive qualities, joined Wolfsburg in 2001 from MSV Duisburg and has remained there ever since.

Although Sarpei's pace and strength have helped him adapt to the Bundesliga, where he has now played over 100 games, his lack of caps for Ghana is somewhat surprising.

Sarpei is an athletic competitor and although his passing sometimes leaves a lot to be desired, if he plays to his potential this summer it will be a wonder why he's so often been overlooked.
