Toure Assimiou is one of six players who sneaked into Togo's World Cup squad at the last moment without an international cap to their name.

Just 18 years of age, Assimiou has represented Germany at junior levels but has decided to make his full international bow for the Sparrow Hawks.

He is currently on the books of Bayer Leverkusen after he caught the eye at Bergneustadt and this summer he is hoping to take advantage of Otto Pfister's policy of finding new talent.
