Position: Goalkeeper
Born: 12.02.79
Club: Montpellier

The likely beneficiary if Henri Michel decides Jean-Jacques Tizie's experience doesn't stand him in good enough stead, Gerard Gnanhouan's career has been nurtured by the hugely respected Guy Lacombe in France.

Currently playing his football in France, Gnanhouan was first managed by Lacombe at Guingamp then followed him to Sochaux before a lack of first-team opportunities saw him drop down a division to Ligue 2 to sign for his current club Montpellier.

The one weakness in his game is his poor kicking - which means he often leaves goal-kicks to his team-mates - but he is otherwise sound and his experience of European football could see him get the nod as the No 1.
