Julio Cesar is establishing himself as a real threat to Dida as Brazil's No 1. Undoubtedly the first choice for Inter Milan, ahead of the vastly experienced Francesco Toldo, Cesar must now turn his attentions to ousting the man who plays his club football for Milan's other great club side.
He has only a handful of caps for Brazil, but has moved ahead of Rogerio Ceni and Marcus in the pecking order, with some feeling he should now be given a chance as first choice at international level.
Having won the Copa America with Brazil in 2004, the 26-year-old opted to follow in the footsteps of Dida in Serie A after a lengthy spell at Flamengo.
