Position: Goalkeeper
Born: 05.05.72
Club: Esperance Tunis

The Ivorian No 1 for the vast majority of the qualifying campaign, yet there is speculation that a lack of European experience could count against Jean-Jacques Tizie this summer.

His seven appearances as the Elephants booked their ticket to Germany mean he played six games more than both of his fellow goalkeepers Boubacar Barry and Gerard Gnanhouan.

But having spent the bulk of his career in his homeland before his switch to current club Esperance Tunis in 2002, Tizie is yet to experience European conditions and stadia and that may see Henri Michel look elsewhere.

His date of birth is disputed - some put it at 1972 and others a year later - but it is safe to say he is in his early 30s and this is likely to be his first and last taste of World Cup action.
