Comfortable anywhere down the left side of the pitch, Anthony Seric is an influential performer in Greek football for Panathinaikos, but has failed to convert that into many more than a dozen Croatia caps.

The 27-year-old played just twice in qualifying for this tournament and while his place in the final squad was never really in doubt - particularly given his experience of two previous World Cups - it looks unlikely he will find himself becoming an integral part of the 23-man party.

One of three Australian-born players in that squad, Seric started his career with Hajduk Split but has experience of one of Europe's biggest leagues having played in Serie A for Inter Milan, Brescia and Lazio.

Primarily a left-sided midfielder, Seric's explosive pace and willingness to track forward and back means he has also seen action as a wing-back.
