A part of the Croatia squad that travelled to Euro 2004, albeit without playing, Mario Tokic will be hoping his experience of a major tournament stands him in good stead this time around.

His qualifying stats for this tournament - he played 293 minutes over five games - suggest he can't be guaranteed a start in Germany, though, but his experience in both domestic and international football means Zlatko Kranjcar won't be afraid to call on the 30-year-old.

A powerful central defender with good positional sense who is also able to carry the ball out, Tokic currently plays his club football for Austria Vienna, with Dinamo Zagreb and Graz among his former employers.
