Position: Defender
Born: 24.03.83
Club: Feyenoord

An international debutant at the age of 20 against Morocco in October 2003, Karim Saidi is a hugely combative stopper whose aerial ability makes him strong both defensively and at attacking set-pieces.

Already playing his club football in Europe, Saidi was signed by Feyenoord two years ago after impressing for hometown side Club Africain.

The Dutch giants handed him the task of replacing the retired Kees van Wonderen and he hasn't found it easy, spending part of this season on loan at Lecce, although he is contracted to the club for another three years.

Still developing as a footballer, the 23-year-old played just two games in qualifying but provides decent back-up for the frontline Tunisian defenders.
