A key performer as the Tunisians booked another World Cup appearance this summer, defender Karim Haggui played seven games in qualifying and chipped in with two goals along the way.

He has gradually established himself as one of his country's most polished performers and has done likewise with club side Strasbourg in Ligue 1 after overcoming a foot injury that badly affected his early form in Alsace.

The 22-year-old, strong in the tackle and a danger at set-pieces, joined the French side from Etoile Sahel two years ago after playing at the Olympics with the Carthage Eagles and has experienced UEFA Cup action this season.
