Hamdi Kasraoui has been earmarked as the likely successor to long-time No 1 Ali Boumnijel when time finally catches up with the 40-year-old.

Just 23, Kasraoui featured at the 2004 African Nations Cup and the 2004 Olympics but remains the understudy when the big games come around; indeed he can't even consider himself first choice at club level with Esperance.

Despite that he is a solid back-up keeper for Tunisia and many experts consider him to be one of the brightest stars of the country's future - indeed despite his youth comparisons are already being drawn with Boumnijel's predecessor Chokri El-Ouaer.
